The Guardian has published a feature article on MBS, written by Michael Pollitt who has been following the saga for longer than we have.

a quote :

MBS will cease to trade as an independent billing company in the second quarter of 2008,

1. Does that mean mbs will give up porno billing
2. What will happen to those who never paid mbs?

I don't think it will cease trading, rather that it will morph into something else.  The clue, perhaps, is in the word 'independent'.  I get the impression that it will combine forces with others to become more widespread, both geographically and in terms of the content it serves.

Of course, that also means others will become much more aware of its dubious practices.  Which could be very interesting.

A recent letter from MBS's solicitors may shed some more light on the matter.

"Ask Jack", a section which looks at people's technology problems in the Guardian, has a short item following the Platte Media story which can be found here.

The Guardian is following this story very closely, and people affected, or who know of others who have been affected, may also want to look at this blog

We're wondering just how people are finding Platte Media's site(s).  If any of you have any answers to that question perhaps you could post up some information on the Forum.  It could not only help others to avoid getting caught out, but may also help in other ways.

Thanks.

You may like to look at this thread on another forum, which seems to be providing some answers.
