Becci:  First of all, is there any way anyone else could have used your computer?  Secondly, and before you take action to remove the software from your computer, do you know how to run an Internet Explorer History View programme?  If not, have a look at the following website for details of how to do this.
This may help to see how it was downloaded onto your computer, and might help others to find out for you how this has happened.  This is important both for you and for helping others.  When you've done that (and it isn't difficult) perhaps you can email it to Michael Pollitt, and also, using the email link against my name, to me.

Now, once you've captured that IEHV information, getting rid of the software is pretty easy.  You can either use one of the virus removal solutions mentioned on this site, such as Prevx, or you can do a system restore, but be careful to go back at least a week from when the pop ups appeared.  Also be careful to remove all other system restore points (by turning system restore off then on again).

I would also urge you, please, to complain about this to your local Trading Standards.  If you did not sign up to the website you mention, you should not be getting these pop up bills.  But you are not alone, and we can help you, so try not to get too distressed.  And, please, do try to capture that Internet Explorer history - it could help us to stop this nuisance for others in the future.

Can i also jsut add, that these 251 tracking devices are more than likely to be cookies, these are dropped by most websites and are nearly all harmless, these are usually used on websites that ask you to log-in where you have the option to "save password" or "log-in automaticly"

Getting rid of these is usally a case of going to (in internet explorer)

TOOLS>>>INTERNET OPTIONS>>>"DELETE COOKIES" then "DELETE FILES"
