PLEASE HELP! I'M SCARED!

I am completely guilty. I installed get films now which seems to be the offspring of platte thinking it was free. I have learned a valuable lesson!

I have read many posts but I am still unsure if Platte can take me to court and will I have to pay them? Can they track my address also?

I am very concerned and have deleted all traces of platte off my computer but I am unsure if they will continue to bother me as this seems to be the case with many people.

Please help!

Hi Cat,

It's hard to say with complete confidence what might happen without knowing exactly what's happened.

If you simply downloaded the software, then removed it (presumably not with their removal software, but with some other method) then it will be near-impossible for them to trace you and pursue you for any money they might say you owe.

That is presuming you haven't contacted them, and thus you won't have provided a telephone number, credit card information, or physical address.

In this case, I am pretty confident you have nothing to worry about. Of course, Platte might say differently, and might bluster their way around suggesting that they will pursue you, but I struggle to see how.
